We, Julia and Holm, are going to cycle from Germany to New Zealand. On 1st of March we hit the road.

Holm: As we met Ingo, Heike, Morten and Sandra at the beginning of May, we did not have the time yet to visit Istanbul. For different reasons we did not nachholen this untill Erzurum. But - Turkey is big! And so we arrive after a 19 hour busride at the busstation "Harem" in Istanbul.
Julia: On the first days wind is hitting us hard from the front. Especially on the afternoon he is going relentless and is nibbling on our motivation. From the town Sivas on he slows down a little bit.
Julia: After the long rest in Konya we leave the city good recoverd. As the distances and dimensions turn bigger and wider there are almost no limits for street constructions and therefor the streets are always straight ahead. 100 km no hill, no curve or village, only lots of trucks and little gopher you can see on the street.
